Special Projects Manager (Electrical)
We are seeking an experienced individual in the electrical industry to join our professional team.  This role will provide you an opportunity to work with qualified tradespeople servicing a key customer base. A trade qualification is desirable or, relevant experience in the electrical industry.
The role includes:
  • Connecting with customers on service inquiries
  • Developing relationships with new service customers
  • Quoting  and estimating small to large service projects
  • Manage and controlling incoming and outgoing stock
  • Supervising technicians for accuracy and productivity
  • Balance and review all service sheets
  • Complete all invoices, match parts with jobs and ensure all materials are available, including hiring of outsourced equipment as required.
  • Manage the hiring of large equipment, including equipment details, site required, date required.
  • Key experience and qualifications:
  • Must have experience in the electrical industry
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Effective communication both written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building capabilities with a collaborative approach
  • High attention to detail with good judgment and problem solving skills
  • A highly competent time manager and well organized
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in an electrical service department, electrical project management, or combined equivalent. 
  • Must have a sufficient understanding of electrical systems to accurately appraise and inventory system components
  • Must be able to prepare complete, clear and concise reports, proposals, booking packages and required company paperwork in a timely manner
  • Must be able to recognize and coordinate subordinates or other company personnel to provide solutions for the customer or prospect
  • Must be able to build rapport and positive working relationships with all company divisions or departments
  • Must be able to delegate responsibilities to subordinates
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, as well as electrical estimating software such as Conest or Accubid
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be sales oriented
  • Must have operational skills and ability to manage a team
